I admit that I’m not really one to pay full attention to lyrics, but Mikal Cronin has made me listen to what he’s saying, and it’s all about growing up in this troubled decade. Furthermore it’s a plea to staying young and not facing any problems.
The fact that this track is backed up with an indie rockin’ guitar just makes me more aware about it’s a declaration about youthfulness. Mind you, there are some mature bits, like a piano-led intro, but mostly it’s the type of tune you’d record in a garage for fun.
If being older makes Cronin bash out these tunes then I can assure you that by the time he retires he’ll have about 10 classic albums recorded.
